This one-day conference, at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, on 3 April 2014, will examine the theme of Computation in Finance and Insurance, post Napier, and will offer the insights of a number of expert practitioners into the unique potential, challenges and constraints for the finance industry arising from faster computations.

Dr David Hare, President of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, will be setting out the context of the themes being discussed at the conference, which is designed to appeal to a financial sector audience, including banks, insurers, investment banks, asset managers, risk managers, pension funds and hedge funds, and those interested in understanding recent advancements in the field of financial computation.
