The consultation on the Actuarial Profession’s conflicts of interest proposals has now closed.
The Conflicts of Interest Working Party would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to provide comment on the proposals, as well as those who attended one of the consultation meetings.
We have received a substantial number of responses and are in the process of considering the comments that have been provided. To allow us to provide a thorough and considered response, it is now expected that our final report will be published in time for new provisions to take effect by the end of the second quarter of 2012, i.e. shortly after the original proposed implementation date of 1 April. We look forward to sharing our final report and recommendations with members and other interested parties in good time before the revised implementation date.
