Our working party is nearing completion of its journey. After more than two years of research, we are almost ready to publish our Sessional paper which will be presented at Staple Inn on Monday 18 June. We have already presented at the Protection, Health and Care Conference in Brighton on 23 May and enjoyed a highly interactive question and answer session after the main presentation.
Wearable technology is rapidly evolving, and data gathered through wearables and the Internet of Things has already started to change the way the insurance industry delivers its products. We see this accelerating over the next few years as the quality of data improves and the industry learns how to use it. The Health and Care insurance community is lagging behind other areas and will need to embrace the technology more openly to get best value and, potentially, survive.
