Our members have a diverse skill set and as such have the potential to make a valuable contribution to many areas of business

“We should champion the diversity of our skill set to open new doors and build opportunities for our members to flourish in both traditional and new areas of business” Nick Salter

Championing the skill set of actuaries is critical to the future relevance of our profession and allows us to build opportunities for our members in both traditional and new areas of business

To give our members greater career options and flexibility, we ensure our qualifications and syllabus are fit for purpose and provide continuous professional development that increasingly stretches their knowledge enabling them to adapt to changing market demands.

In January 2016 a Skill Set Research Report was published

The Report details the research findings of a project among HR Directors in the UK to asses whether the actuarial skill set is perceived to be of values and where it might fit within an organisation.
