Liaison with Cat Model Developers

The objectives of the Liaison with Cat Model Developers working party are to:

• produce a document to support actuaries with differing roles in their understanding of the models
• help the model developers understand the levels at which actuaries use model output within companies.

Outputs:

• a detailed Frequently Asked Questions document covering more specific and detailed questions. Many of the answers to these questions are already in the public domain but the intention is to point actuaries who don’t know where to look in the right direction.

It is hoped that, over time, the working party can continue to liaise with the model developers and the remit of the working party can increase.
