The Marine and Energy Pricing Working Party is writing a Marine and Energy Pricing specific paper to inform and educate the actuarial profession
Key objectives:
- educate pricing actuaries both within Marine and Energy, and externally
- educate and better inform underwriters, non-actuarial management, regulators and other actuaries to improve relations with them
- define the classes of business that defines the Marine and Energy sphere
- foster a spirit of fellowship within the Marine and Energy pricing community to enhance their skills whilst avoiding issues of anti-competiveness
- inform and educate the wider insurance community of the concerns involved in pricing Marine and Energy risks.
Forthcoming outputs:
- GIRO 2014 paper and presentation
- a paper collating and codifying the experience of the Working Party’s members and considering current limitations, trends, and future initiatives.
