The Reserving Functions Survey Working Party is reviewing current reserving practice in the UK, covering those undertaking the reserving work (personal lines, London Market and reinsurers) but also canvassing the views of those using the output of the work such as board members, senior management, and regulatory bodies
The objectives of the Reserving Practice Survey Working Party are to:
- survey the use of different reserving techniques, with a particular exploration of the value of more granular reserving data and techniques
- write-up the initial survey of reserving functions, in the UK retail motor insurance market
- extend the survey to include London Market reserving functions and Board members.
