The Nat Cat Risk Validation Framework Working Party was formed in order to further examine Cat Model Validation
The working party will investigate what a proportionate validation means for Nat Cat risk in the context of:
- complex external models,
- available vendor validation and
- solvency II requirements
Working party members are striving to create:
- a validation framework document
- an online Wiki of tests for practitioners
- a practical toolkit of tests that can be used to improve trust in Nat Cat model outputs
