UK Deafness Claims facilitates market data collection and investigates claims experience relating to deafness/noise-induced hearing loss in the UK
The objectives of the UK Deafness Claims Working Party are to:
- facilitate market wide data collection exercises, quarterly, to help understand the claims notifications in a post LASPO claims environment
- potentially develop relationships with claimant solicitors to understand their issues, motivations and drivers
- continue to develop relationships with other relevant parties to collectively understand issues as they evolve
- continue to develop a relationship with the HSE and understand how such a relationship can be mutually beneficial
- continue to investigate the potential to develop exposure based methodologies to help understand the future impact of deafness claims on the insurance market.
There is no intention to estimate an overall UK Insurance Market impact due to deafness claims.
