The Funeral Plans MIG was set up to provide support and a forum for actuaries involved in preparing valuations for pre-paid funeral plan trusts to meet and discuss various topics of interest such as pre-paid funeral plan trust regulation, best practice and trustee and audit relationships
Objectives:
- To support actuaries working on pre-paid funeral plan trusts (FPT)
- To provide CPD and professionalism opportunities and events to actuaries working on FPT
- To provide actuaries working FPT with a forum and network for discussing issues arising from work on FPT
- To encourage the sharing of developmental resources and experience to help develop current and potential FPT actuaries
Outputs:
- To organise an annual CPD event for funeral plan actuaries
- To respond to relevant consultations on funeral plans when they are published.
