The Working Party examines the resilience of Defined Ambition schemes against different macroeconomic conditions

The Defined Ambition Working Party explores what ‘defined ambition’ is, or could be, including the risk profile such a scheme might pose for members and sponsoring employers. The working party also considers whether it is really a new concept and whether there are any practical, commercial or regulatory obstacles to achieving a ‘defined ambition’ design currently.

The Defined Ambition Working Party will be presenting at a plenary at the Current Issues in Pensions event in Bristol, London, Manchester and Edinburgh and a workshop session

The topic is titled ‘Do defined Ambition schemes have longevity? An analysis of how defined ambition will survive the test of time.’ The outputs will highlight the various features of Defined Ambition schemes that are required to provide a sustainable retirement solution for the UK, and the perils and pitfalls that should be considered in the design of any sustainable Defined Ambition scheme.
