The Risk Management Board acts as a source of expertise within the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) on matters relating to the risk management practice area, and promotes, supports and champions the interests of practice area members in accordance with the IFoA’s strategic objectives by adopting and promoting the values of Community, Integrity and Progress among actuaries.

They provide assistance to those actuaries throughout the profession who wish to take up or pursue further careers in risk management, including where they remain working in their core practice area.

The Board developed a focussed work plan and has delivered on specifically identified initiatives. In addition, the Board is keen to explore ways of developing working relations with other RM bodies such as IRM, AIRMIC and PRMIA.

Collaboration helps progress risk management generally, supports our brand positioning, provides members with access to new ideas and opportunities and to meet with other risk professionals and brings a stronger collective voice.
