Tuesday 16 June 2020 12:00 - 13:00

This session will focus on two important IFoA developments: the new Actuarial Monitoring Scheme (AMS) and the outcome of its substantive review into the CPD scheme.

This is a valuable opportunity for delegates to hear from the IFoA’s Actuarial Monitoring Scheme (AMS) Team about the ongoing programme of Thematic Reviews which form part of the AMS

The first two reviews are focused on the topics of:
•Pensions: Actuarial factors used to calculate member benefits; and
•Insurance: Role of actuarial advice in pricing of GI products
The presenters will explain more about the reviews and planned outputs as well as talking about future plans for the Thematic Review Programme
The session will also include an update on changes to the IFoA’s CPD Scheme. Delegates will have an opportunity to ask questions about the changes being made and what that will mean in practice.

A round-up of other relevant professional regulation developments will also be provided as part of the session.
