Risk Management Webinar PrgrammeActuaries in all practice areas have had an “alert” to consider climate risk.  A plethora of scenarios and tools are being developed both internally and as part of industry-wide initiatives but is there yet a sense of good practice?

Speakers:

Finn Clawson, Head of Risk Analytics, Aviva plc

Finn Clawson leads the development of Aviva’s climate metrics within Risk.  Finn is responsible for improvements to both the methodology and modelling of the metrics which are used to support Aviva’s TCFD disclosures, external and internal targets and wider climate MI.  Finn works in the Group Actuarial Function at Aviva and supports the use of data science and process automation within the Risk function.

Finn has over 15 years consulting and industry experience across Aviva and a variety of blue-chip finance companies specialising in risk management.  Finn is a qualified Actuary and holds a Masters in Finance from London Business School. 

 

Peter Scolley (Chair)

Peter Scolley is an actuary and risk manager with experience in insurance and consultancy. He currently works in Enterprise Risk Management for M&G plc leading work on the firm's internal and external risk reporting. His past experience includes significant expertise in capital modelling and management, pricing and product development, and insurance transactions both in the UK and internationally. 

Peter is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, holds the CERA qualification, and serves on the Risk Management Life Long Learning committee. He also serves on the profession's Financial Systems Thinking Innovation Centre Managing Committee.
