Hong Kong Joint Office
The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries is a party to the Hong Kong Joint Office Agreement, under which an office is established in Hong Kong to service members, including students, in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Korea and Japan.
The other parties to the Agreement are: the Actuarial Society of Hong Kong; the Institute of Actuaries of Australia; the Casualty Actuarial Society; and the Society of Actuaries.

The reponsibilities of the Joint Office include:
- Responding to requests for information from the general public and members of participating organisations.
- Liaison with universities in the region which offer actuarial programs.
- Writing articles for the local magazines and newsletters of participating organisations on activities in Asia of general interest to members.
- Assisting with the coordination of continuing education seminars organised by participating organisations.
- Assisting with the arrangements for visiting actuarial VIPs.
- Liaison with exam supervisors, students, and the representatives of participating organisations.
- Planning and coordinating, in conjunction with participating organisations, professionalism courses offered in Asia.
- Coordinating the supply of materials to actuarial reference centers and book donations in the region.
