International representatives - terms of reference

To represent the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries on the Committees of the International Actuarial Association and the Groupe Consultatif.

More specifically to:

  1. Attend and actively participate in relevant Groupe Consultatif/International Actuarial Association committee meetings and represent the views of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
  2. Wherever practicable seek the views of the relevant executive committee* of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, on matters to be discussed at Groupe Consultatif/International Actuarial Association committee meetings before the meeting.
  3. Report to the International Committee and the relevant executive committee* of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, after each Groupe Consultatif/International Actuarial Association committee meeting.
  4. Liaise generally with the Chairman of the relevant executive committtee* of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, as required.
  5. Liaise with the Secretary to the International Committee, when appropriate, in respect of business in between meetings of the Groupe Consultatif/International Actuarial Assocation.

* In cases where there is no evident Board or committee, these items should be read as referring to the International Committee.
