There are many ways that you can get involved in working with the Profession as a volunteer. It gives you an opportunity to give something back to the Profession but also allows you to develop in a professional and personal way.

- Mentoring
Would you like to become a mentor for the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and promote the UK actuarial qualification in China and also help support student actuaries to understand different roles, cultures and practise areas within China and to help raise awareness of the benefits of an FIA?
We are looking for qualified members who would be able to call upon their expertise in their field of work to advise those who are unsure of their career path. We welcome those based in China or in the UK. We will put your name in a ‘bank’ and call upon you as needed.

- Career Ambassador
Would you like to become a Career Ambassador for the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and help potential students make some key life choices?
We are looking for part qualified, or qualified members based in the UK or China who would be able to call upon their expertise in their field of work to advise those who are interested about a career as an actuary.

- International Feedback Groups
Would you like to become an inaugural member of a new online feedback group for China and South East Asia? If you have an excellent knowledge of, or connections in China, we would like to hear from you.

- "400 Club" reserve list
One of the key elements of the new strategey is 'to offer excellent support that meets members' varied and evolving needs'. To help track our progress, we have created a group of 400 members to represent the entire membership body and to provide us with feedback. If you would like to join a reserve list of members who would like to get involved, we would like to hear from you.
