Submit a session for Health and Care Conference 2014

The Health and Care conference offers a wide ranging programme designed to cover all of the areas required by Insurance Industry professionals.

Due to its size and scope, the conference has additional focus on areas that drive the development of our key products, so covering product design, pricing, underwriting/claims and distribution.

The conference offers considerable opportunity to improve technical understanding, with more general business sessions, and the size and scope offers many opportunities to network and discuss the range of topics discussed.

Following a successful Health and Care Conference 2013, we are now working on the programme for next year and we are looking for a wide variety of topical workshop sessions. This is your chance to help shape the programme.  If you would like to speak at next year’s conference, we want to hear from you.  

Topics could include:

Mortality and Longevity Conference 2014

15 – 17 September

This conference will provide a multi-disciplinary forum for the exchange of information on the latest relevant research, and also an opportunity to learn about established knowledge from a range of different disciplines, all with the aim of better understanding and managing this complex yet critical subject.

The themes for this event are:

  1. Medical advances and the impact of Genetic profiling on medicine and longevity
  2. The international perspective: what can we learn from elsewhere?
  3. New sources of information: “big data”, risk factors
  4. Practical mortality and morbidity: pricing/reserving for the long-term, underwriting, critical illness, long-term care and underwritten annuities.
