This session is intended for those working in funeral trusts or with an interest in understanding the current scope of actuarial work in funeral trusts.

The session is capped at 30 people and will be an informal event, where discussion and dialogue are encouraged throughout with time for general questions and answers in the last 15 minutes.

  • 15.45 – 16.15 - Ilona Turnbull (IFoA General Counsel) - Update on the new standard, the consultation and the implications going forward
  • 16.15 – 17.00 - Graeme McAusland (Funeral Planning Authority) - Funeral Planning Authority to speak on what they are seeing across the board, any challenges and what is coming out of actuarial reports
  • 17.00 – 17.45 - Faye Dyce (FRC) - FRC  review of the Funeral Plans TAS
  • 17.45 – 18.00 - General Q&A
  • 18.00             - Session closes.
