Chinese Actuarial Network UK (CANUK)
The Chinese Actuarial Network UK (CANUK) is an independent and non-profit making membership organisation for Chinese actuaries living and working in the UK.
Objectives
Its objectives are:
- to provide a networking platform for Chinese actuaries based in the UK;
- to act as a communication channel between UK-based Chinese actuaries and other Chinese actuarial associations/networks around the world;
- to provide advice and support to Chinese students of actuarial science in the UK who are interested in joining the UK profession;
- to bring Chinese actuaries and students together at professional, educational and social events.

CANUK was launched at a networking evening at Staple Inn Hall (London home of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries) in December 2011, attended by over one hundred Chinese actuaries.
The event was chaired by Haijing Wang and speakers included Feifei Zhang, President, CANUK; Derek Cribb, Chief Executive, Institute and Faculty of Actuaries; and Trevor Watkins, Director of Education, Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. |
One year on!
On 12 December 2012, CANUK celebrated its first anniversary with a networking event at Staple Inn.
