The Directory of Opportunities

Part of our strategy is to:

"Provide members with appropriate opportunities for volunteering".

Directory of Opportunities front cover This Directory of Opportunities  illustrates the wide range of ways in which our members currently provide support.

This Directory can be used in two ways:

  • For members wishing to volunteer:  It allows members to identify a volunteer role/task which best suits their circumstances and which matches skills and experience.
  • For active volunteers: It allows our active volunteers to see the full range of committees and other volunteer activities and to encourage and enhance integration and good communication between them.  Thus avoiding volunteer groups working in silos and avoiding the possible need to reinvent the wheel.  It can also allow members to share knowledge with each other.

Each member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries benefits from the time, effort and commitment given by their peers, who volunteer, and who in partnership with the executive staff support, run, regulate and enhance our membership body and the Profession.
