Complaining about a firm licensed under the DPB

We can only investigate a complaint against a firm only after the firm has had a chance to respond to your complaint.

If you have already complained to the firm, we may be able to investigate your complaint if:

  • you are not satisfied with the outcome of the firm's own investigation of the complaint
  • the firm has not completed its investigation within a reasonable time after receiving your complaint and you do not wish to allow the firm more time.

We can only investigate complaints about the investment advice given by a firm licensed by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
