There has been a large increase in interest in latent claims over the last decade as many London Market insurers and reinsurers have suffered large volumes of asbestos and pollution claims from the United States. The aim of this paper is to bring together the publicly available information on each claim type and describe some of the methods which are used for reserving purposes.
