The Actuarial Profession welcomes the exposure drafts published by the Board for Actuarial Standards (BAS) on its Conceptual Framework for Technical Actuarial Standards and Scope and Authority of Technical Standards as we believe that BAS has responded positively to the feedback it received during the consultation period and modified its proposal accordingly. As we have said previously we are keen that there should be swift progress from the adoption of a framework to the introduction of new technical standards produced by BAS to replace those it adopted from the Profession.
