The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries welcomes the FSA's decision to consult on changes to guidance on pension transfer value analysis assumptions as set out in COBS19.1. The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries is supportive of many of the proposals and the general desire to revisit assumptions in the area, but in some places believes the changes could go further.
