G07: The greatest challenge facing ageing societies

The speakers will set out the context of the long term care funding debate internationally and then specifically within the UK.  In particular they will examine demographic trends, the implications of longevity on funding solutions for long term care and the conclusions of the Dilnot Commission on long term care.  The speakers will then discuss the potential for financial services and insurance solutions to meet the care funding needs of these populations, with particular focus on current financial products  and likely areas of innovation.
