The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries welcome the publication of the Dilnot Commission's recommendations into the funding of care and support, believing that their implementation could help individuals better prepare for retirement. However, the IFA suggest that it might be helpful to test the sustainability of the recommendations (eg the durability of the cap and the cost to tax payers) under a range of scenarios.
