How do I become an Authorised User?

From 1 March 2013, new full outputs of the CMI (including working papers and mortality tables) are issued by CMI Limited and are only available to those organisations and individuals who register as CMI users, and who contribute the appropriate amount for their organisation.

If you are not currently an Authorised User, and want to become one, then please follow the steps set out below:

  • If you work for an organisation that is a CMI subscriber (see list) and you are a member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, then please check that your employer is correctly listed in your profile. (NB If you update your employer, you will need to log out and log back in again for the change to take effect.) If you still cannot access CMI outputs, then please contact us at info@cmilimited.co.uk.
  • If you work for an organisation that is a CMI subscriber (see list) and you are NOT a member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, then you will first need to register as a website user. Then please send your name, organisation and website username to us at info@cmilimited.co.uk.
  • If you work for an organisation that is NOT a CMI subscriber, then you will need to seek approval within your organisation to become a Subscriber. The applicable fees are set out here. After you have approval, please contact us at info@cmilimited.co.uk.
  • If you are an academic, for example at a recognised university, and want to access CMI outputs for non-commercial purposes then you will first need to register as a website user. Then please send your name, organisation and website username to us at info@cmilimited.co.uk.
