Notes:
These searches mostly find articles of the current and previous year and books of a longer range of recent years. Users can adapt the search terms to more specific topics of their choice and with a longer span of publication dates, then export the results into lists using the Library catalogue tools. For example, use 'Change display' to show article references in a citation reference format.
Select book titles and click 'Request' to email the IFoA Library Service to reserve the book and supply it on loan.
'Books' results include print and 'ebooks' purchased by the IFoA Library for members to access via its eLibrary, and also book review articles from actuarial journals and magazines indexed.
The IFoA Library Service welcomes feedback on these subject searches or suggestions for other broad headings that can provide reading lists for members' interest and current awareness - please contact libraries@actuaries.org.uk.
Additional search tools for resources on subjects
The Actuarial Knowledge Hub is a tool for search across indexed library holdings and will also find papers beyond those in the library catalogue. Users can export their search results into reading lists.
You can search the Hub as a guest user. To access the full text, there is an invitation link to 'Please login with your Athens password'.
Members can login here through the 'Athens' portal to reach the Actuarial Knowledge Hub with full access using the same member credentials they use to access their member account on the IFoA website.
Some resources can require an individual Athens account to access them. Please contact Library Service to request an Athens account, available to IFoA members and Affiliates.
Search too for topics on the IFoA website search as for this example, replacing the 'actuarial subject' then applying filters for 'conference papers', conference presentations' and 'sessional research papers'.
