After the exams
Once you have sat your exams you may want to tell us of some mitigating circumstances affecting your sitting, or provide comments about the exam centre. When the results have been published you may want to apply for exam counselling or appeal against your grade.
This page gives you information on these, and other, topics.
If you believe your performance in any exam, a three hour exam or a practical exam, has been affected by mitigating circumstances which you want taken into account, please apply using the appropriate form on the right.
Full details of our policies on this can be found in the exam policies document on the right, as can the application forms.
Applying for a refund
If you wish to apply for a refund of your exam fees please use the form available on the right.
Our exam policies document on the right gives you details of the policy on refunds.
Exam centre comments
If you have any comments about the centre where you sat your exam please complete the form available on the right.
These comments will be used when reviewing and planning the administration process for the exam sessions.
Exam appeals process
You have the right to appeal against a decision of the Board of Examiners which affects you.
However, we can reassure you that papers are marked by two markers independently. The examining team then reviews any borderline marks, and on some occasions papers even get a fourth review, to ensure you are awarded an accurate grade.
Exam counselling service
This service can help you understand why your paper failed, how to improve your performance, and how to develop examination technique generally.
Prizes for exam performance
A number of prizes are awarded to students for their performance in the exams.
Viewing your exam script
If you wish to view your past scripts you can do so if we still hold them. Please complete and return the form on the right to arrange an appointment. The form contains details of the information you will need to provide, and our administrative arrangements.
