Sitting exams
Exam policies, regulations and other information
Please ensure that you read carefully the following that can be found via the links on the right.
- Exam regulations
- Exam entry policies
- Instructions for candidates
The exam policies document gives you information on special arrangements, changes to exam entries, permitted calculators, mitigating circumstances, refunds and carrying forward of exam entry fees, and our cancellation policy.
When you enter for exams you will receive an entry permit two weeks before the exam, showing your exam centre and candidate number. If you don't receive this please contact the Exams Team as soon as possible. We need two working days to get this sent out to you.
If your attempt to sit an exam paper is suspended, cancelled or otherwise nullified (whether before, during or after the exam), we will waive the fee for your next attempt at that paper. However, we reserve the right to decide not to reschedule any examination or to provide any compensation.

Permitted calculators
Candidates may use specific electronic calculators in all the examinations subject to the conditions given in the exam instructions on the right.
