Here you will find our polices and other instructions for those sitting our exams. Please ensure that you read these carefully.
Exam policies, regulations and other information
Please ensure that you read the following carefully - they can be found via the links on the right.
- Exam regulations
- Exam entry policies
- Instructions for candidates
The exam policies document gives you information on special access arrangements, changes to exam entries, permitted calculators, mitigating circumstances, refunds and carrying forward of exam entry fees, and our cancellation policy.
When you enter for exams you will be able to download an entry permit two weeks before the exam, showing your exam centre and candidate number. Check this carefully for any anomalies, and contact the Exams Team as soon as possible with any queries.
If your attempt to sit an exam paper is suspended, cancelled or otherwise nullified (whether before, during or after the exam), we will waive the fee for your next attempt at that paper. However, we reserve the right to decide not to reschedule any examination or to provide any compensation.

Proof of identity
You will need to produce photographic identification at each examination. Acceptable forms include:

If you don't have one of these, we will mark your scripts but not release the results until we are satisfied of your identity.

Candidates may use specific electronic calculators in all the examinations subject to the conditions given in the exam instructions on the right.
