The Actuaries’ Club is the oldest actuarial dining club and indeed predates the inauguration of the Institute of Actuaries. Its members are actuaries who have achieved prominence either in the profession or in their own firms.
Meetings are usually held on Monday evenings five times a year at the Army and Navy Club in Pall Mall, London. Eminent speakers are invited to four of these dinners and a musical entertainment is provided at the December dinner.
Meeting dates 2023 and 2024:
- 6 November 2023 – Sally Bridgeland FIA, winner of the 2023 FTSE AIM NED award
- 11 December 2023 – ‘Fever Pitch’
- 5 February 2024 – Ian Dyson, former Commissioner of the City of London police
- 13 May 2024 – John Howell, MP for Henley and leader of the British delegation to the Council of Europe
