The Brunei Actuarial Society (BAS) was set up in 2017 with the following objectives:

  • to connect all Bruneian actuaries, actuarial students and those interested in the actuarial profession and facilitate engagement with each other
  • to promote awareness of the actuarial career in the country and provide educational support to actuarial students
  • to provide a platform for the members to raise and discuss any issues regarding the technical aspects that relate to the practice of the profession
  • to create networking opportunities and opportunities to engage with other professional bodies.

The society is open to both members and non-members of the IFoA, as well as individuals who work in actuarial support roles in the region

Meetings of BAS will take place at designated locations selected by members.
