Launched in 2017, our programme is designed to promote debate around the importance of professionalism, and the role of professionals, including actuaries and others, across the financial services industry. I encourage you to join the debate and please highlight this to other professionals.
Based in South Africa, I am proud to have been the first internationally based President of the IFoA. As such, global relevance and debate is very important to me. The IFoA's Professionalism Lecture Series 2017-2018 comprised a series of events around the world, which took place over the course of 2017 and 2018.

Speaker: Paul Harwood FIA presented a model to assess and manage culture and to develop conscience (Professionalism). This was delivered in a plenary during the IFoA's Joint Risk, Investment, Pensions Conference.
Speaker: Dr Moses Cheng, Chair of the Independent Insurance Authority, Hong Kong.
Dr Cheng delivered the keynote address at the IFoA Asia Conference in Hong Kong this year.
