On the centenary of the years of World War I, we remember those members of the Faculty of Actuaries and Institute of Actuaries who joined the armed forces over the 1914-1918 period yet subsequently died in action and service

Several were 'probationers' and students who had embarked on actuarial careers, others were newly qualified Associates and Fellows. Before and above this, they were sons, brothers, fathers, husbands and loved ones joining the many thousands drawn into the conflict not to return. Their names were commemorated by the Faculty of Actuaries and Institute of Actuaries on memorial plaques and rolls of honour after the war.
