IFoA Intergenerational Fairness Bulletin – Health and Care Edition

Friday 13 October 2017 08:00 - 09:45

The Intergenerational Fairness Series seeks to raise awareness of the risks posed by not considering long-term implications of public policy, and the potential consequences for younger and future generations.

Breakfast Briefing | IFoA Intergenerational Fairness Bulletin – Health and Care Edition

The Intergenerational Fairness Series seeks to raise awareness of the risks posed by not considering long-term implications of public policy, and the potential consequences for younger and future generations. These bulletins highlight issues policymakers need to take into account if we are going to meet today’s needs, without putting younger or future generations at a disadvantage.

The third and final bulletin in the series draws on a range of experts from across a range of health issues, including the sustainability of the health system, social care funding, antimicrobial resistance and the impact of the ageing population on health and work.

We are delighted to be joined by a number of the bulletin’s contributors at the event:

    • Patrick Thomson, Senior Programme Manager at the Centre for Ageing Better
    • Joseph Ahern, Policy Advisor at the Association of British Insurers
    • Angus Hanton, Co-Founder of the Intergenerational Foundation

The event chair will be Jules Constantinou, President-elect, IFoA.
