This aim of webinar is to provide an overview of research undertaken within the Data Science MIG with focus on one work stream “Professionalism, Regulation & Ethics”. In the session Matthew Byrne will give an overview of the key topics, exploring what TAS 100 means for data science algorithms, why you might need to take more care with data science to avoid breaching regulatory requirements, and which ethical considerations are relevant to data science.

Delegates will be able to submit questions throughout the webinar in the chat box on their screens. These will be asked at the end of the presentation only.  The video will be made available for everyone to download after the webinar and CPD is available. Please note the CPD year has been extended until the end of August.

Asif has 20 years of experience in the Insurance and Re-Insurance sector. He has multiple years of experience performing leadership roles in his domain. A qualified actuary, data scientist works for AMJ Group and is on a mission to disrupt the Insurance market using data science, machine learning and AI within the actuarial sector. Asif is Chairman for the IFoA Data Science MIG (member interest group) and contributes to the management strategy in other companies London.
 

PresenterMatthew Byrne, NFU Mutual

As Head of Actuarial Function, Matthew leads a team delivering second line risk assurance across a wide range of business areas. In addition to his current work on the Data Science MIG, he is involved in two other working parties and another Member Interest Group. He also carries out peer-review work for other IFoA working party papers. 

The webinar will take place from 12.00-13.00. There will be time for Q&A at the end.
