The Value of With-Profits to Consumers Working Party

The Impact on Consumers of Solvency II and Low Interest Rates Working Party

The traditional insurance model and in a way the actuarial profession is facing disruption from customer centric digital revolution. The extent of the change we are facing as actuaries is not  comprehensible with our understanding of the past. In this presentation, we intend to discuss a few interesting, potentially challenging, ideas that will make a difference to the customer propositions amidst regulatory changes and low interest rates. As Bob Dylan once said: “And you know something’s happening but you don’t know what it is, do you Mr Jones?” We would like to think that actuaries are not Bob Dylan’s Mr Jones but the influencers themselves.
