The objective of the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) between the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and the Institute of Actuaries of Japan (IAJ) is to provide a reciprocal way for Fellows of the IAJ, and Fellows of the IFoA, to participate in the activities of the other organisation

Under the terms of the Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) between the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) and the Institute of Actuaries of Japan the IFoA agrees to admit to its Affiliate status any Fellow of the IAJ who submits an application form and pays the required fee, subject to any conditions prescribed for such status.

To become an Affiliate member you should complete an Affiliate Membership application form.  You must also include a recent letter from your actuarial body confirming your membership status.

Your completed application must be sent to the Membership Team at the IFoA.  You can send us digital copies of your signed application form.
