Monitoring of 2014/2015 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and Professional Skills Training (PST) activities

It's that time of year again when the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries' (IFoA's) Membership Team begins its annual audit of CPD and PST records.

The Membership Team will randomly select:

  • 10% of all CPD Category 2 members, and
  • 10% of all student members, partially regulated members and members who are affiliated to another IAA body for CPD purposes, who were required to complete Stage 3 of the PST in the 2014/2015 CPD reporting year.

If selected, you will be asked to provide written evidence of your participation in CPD activities which meets your minimum requirements. If you have recorded more than your minimum hours, you will not be expected to produce evidence for each activity.

Some examples of acceptable evidence are:

  • a signed register of attendance
  • a communication from the organiser of an event which confirms your attendance
  • a certificate vouching for completion of a course or activity
  • hard copies of lectures or presentations delivered by you
  • articles or papers written for publication
  • written confirmation from another Fellow of the IFoA of your attendance at or completion of an activity
  • confirmation from the provider of an on-line resource.
