At the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) we pride ourselves on working collaboratively with the organisations that employ our student members.

If you are an employer it is vital that we get your feedback, and that we can work with you to support your (and our) students.  So make sure that you have a volunteer Student Employer Contact registered with us.

How does this benefit you?

Having a Student Employer Contact:

  • gives you direct communication with our Education Directorate
  • will ensure you are one of the first to receive important information and updates about any changes which may affect your students
  • allows your organisation’s voice to be heard, and for you to have your say about hot topics such as the current Education Strategy Review
  • provides you with information and guidance to help ensure that your students are supported throughout their professional qualification

If your organisation employs IFoA student members we encourage you to appoint a Student Employer Contact.  If you would like to volunteer to take on this role, or to check if someone in your firm has already volunteered, please contact Debbie Atkins, Head of Volunteer Engagement.

When contacting Debbie please let her know:

  • your organisation’s name and location
  • your ARN (if applicable), and
  • an approximate number of IFoA student members currently in your firm.

All expressions of interest will be followed up as they are received.
