The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries is delighted to announce that Kalpana Shah has been confirmed as the next President-Elect.

Kalpana will assume this role in June 2022, as Matt Saker becomes President. Kalpana will serve as IFoA President from June 2023.

Kalpana is Chair of Riverstone Managing Agency and brings over 30 years of leadership experience and a varied career that spans retail and finance. She has been appointed to the boards of directors of publicly quoted and privately owned businesses.

Kalpana is currently a non-executive director for Just Group, Markel, Asta and Riverstone. Previously she was Group Chief Actuary of Hiscox, worked in business development for the London Commodity Exchange, underwriting for Groupama, customer services for Disney and sales for Dorothy Perkins.

Kalpana is also involved in a number of voluntary organisations with a focus on inclusion, social mobility and education.
