The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries is pleased to announce the appointment of Iraj Amiri as the Chair of its Audit and Governance committee.
Iraj was, until 2010, a senior partner with Deloitte and spent the entirety of his 30 year career as an accountant with them. Since leaving Deloitte, he has become a trustee of the National Employment Savings trust, sitting on both its Audit and Investment Committees.
A recognised expert on internal audit and assurance functions, Iraj has substantial experience in helping organisations develop their governance and audit structures to not only reduce risk but also to help work towards corporate objectives.
Iraj will serve a three year term as Chair, with the possibility of a further two years once the initial term is over.
