Members are invited to nominate eligible individuals for Honorary Fellowship of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA), and the award of Gold and Finlaison Medals.  Nominations received by 9 December will be considered for the 2017 elections.

Gold and Finlaison Medals

The Gold Medal is awarded in honour of work which is of pre-eminent importance, either in originality, or content, or consequence, in the actuarial field.  The Finlaison Medal is awarded in recognition of service to the actuarial profession in furtherance of one or more of the various objects set out in the Royal Charter of the IFoA.

Honorary Fellowship

Honorary Fellowship is awarded to eminent individuals who are seen to add value to the profession and who will have an ongoing involvement with the IFoA.

Dr Madhavi Bajekal was awarded with an Honorary Fellowship earlier this year and said

“my involvement with the IFoA and industry is an incredibly rewarding experience and receiving an Honorary Fellowship is a great honour.”
