The following consultations and reports have recently been launched:
- Investment Association (IA) has launched a consultation on the classification of environmental, social and governance (ESG) funds. The consultation follows the creation of an ESG committee, set up by the IA in 2018
- The Financial Reporting Council (FRC) is consulting on a new Stewardship Code that sets substantially higher expectations for investor stewardship policy and practice. The Code will focus on how effective stewardship delivers sustainable value for beneficiaries, the economy and society
- Shareaction has published a report on whether bond investors are ready to act on climate change. The report examines whether corporate bond investors are motivated to speed up alignment with the Paris Agreement and participate in forceful engagement.
