The Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) is pleased to be sponsoring a flagship event hosted by The Actuarial Association of Uganda (TAAU) in Kampala next month.
On 11 March at Makerere University, TAAU will be hosting a workshop on ‘Shaping Financial Services Transformation in East Africa’ and the role of actuaries in this. This will be preceded by two days of actuarial training at Hotel Africana, provided by Actuaries Without Borders, on both life and non-life subjects. The end of the conference will be marked by a cocktail party.
Derek Cribb, IFoA Chief Executive will be attending the workshop to speak about the Certified Actuarial Analyst qualification and the benefits of this for the African market. Attendees are expected from across the East African actuarial community.
