The aim of Enterprise Risk Management Specialist Principles (SP9) is to introduce students to the key principles of enterprise risk management – that is, the management of risk in the context of an enterprise as a whole.

Enterprise Risk Management Specialist Principles (SP9) assesses candidates’ understanding and application of the risk management tools used in businesses. Comprising of core reading and reference textbooks it forms an essential part of the qualification process for students wishing to attain the Chartered Enterprise Risk Actuary (CERA) status and is a key qualification for actuaries wishing to develop their skills in risk management.

Enterprise Risk Management Specialist Principles (SP9) covers both qualitative and quantitative aspects of risk management and looks not just at the treatment of individual risks, but also at how these risks are aggregated.  It also analyses the frameworks within which risks are managed.  It should be of interest to those working in risk functions and other modelling roles.

From September 2021, an additional 5 minutes has been added to each paper to allow for candidates to download or print, if required, their exam paper.
