Exemptions from the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries’ (IFoA's) professional exams

Depending on the modules taken and the grades obtained, completion of these degree programmes at the University of Kent can lead to recommendation for exemption from some or all of the Fellowship exams shown.

  Fellowship exam exemptions
BSc in Actuarial Science
BSc in Actuarial Science (with a year in industry)
Postgraduate Diploma in Actuarial Science
Core Technical Stage subjects: CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, CT5, CT6, CT7, CT8
  It is possible to gain individual exemptions if appropriate modules are passed at an appropriate standard
MSc in Applied Actuarial Science Core Applications Stage subjects: CA1, CA3
Specialist Technical Stage subjects: up to three subjects from ST2, ST4, ST5, ST6, ST7, ST8, ST9
  It is possible to gain individual exemptions if appropriate modules are passed at an appropriate standard
International Masters in Applied Actuarial Science (2 year programme) Core Technical Stage subjects: CT1, CT2, CT3, CT4, CT5, CT6, CT7, CT8
Core Applications Stage subjects: CA1, CA3
Specialist Technical Stage subjects: up to three subjects from ST2, ST4, ST5, ST6, ST7, ST8, ST9
  It is possible to gain individual exemptions if appropriate modules are passed at an appropriate standard
BSc in Financial Mathematics Core Technical Stage subjects: CT7 and CT8
MSc in Finance, Investment and Risk Core Technical Stage subjects: CT1, CT2, CT7, CT8
