Deborah Parker works at Mercer in Manchester

Another great case study from a very inspirational actuarial apprentice sitting the CAA exams.  Deborah Parker works at Mercer in Manchester and says the following about her decision not to go to university:

I had good A levels with a strong Maths focus and offers from leading universities but really wanted to learn in a work environment without compromising my career potential.  I discovered the actuarial apprenticeship and the CAA qualification and found them to be a genuine alternative to university that will give me a head start on work experience and a valuable qualification from which to launch my career.
