The IFoA Greater China team will hold a webinar "Explore the Development of the Pensions Market in China Based on Global Experience" at 19.00-20.30 (GMT+8) on Tuesday, 27 December 2022.

In April 2022, China's personal pensions system has been officially announced. As the third pillar of the government-supported pensions system, this system has attracted a lot of attention. On 25 November 2022, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China announced the official implementation of the personal pensions system, which has once again become a hot topic nationwide. In view of this, this webinar will share the experience of the UK pensions industry, including but not limited to policies, products, investment management and services, compare with the history and current situation of China's pensions market, and look into the development trend and prospects of the industry.
This webinar is free and open to all IFoA members. Kindly note that this regional webinar will be delivered in Mandarin Chinese.
About the speaker
Mr Steven Yang Yu is the Founder and CEO of Yu Yuan Technology Ltd which is the fintech company of Redington in China. In the past 16 years, Steven has provided professional asset liability management, asset allocation, financial planning, risk compliance solutions as well as related technology products and services to large institutional investors such as pension funds and insurance companies globally. His team has been very influential around the world, which services clients with combined assets over 7,000 billion RMB.
Steven holds both Bachelor and Master degrees in mathematics from the University of Cambridge and a Master degree in Actuarial Science from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass). Steven qualified as the investment actuary of the IFoA in 2011. Steven is the former IFoA Council member (2019-2022).
